He spent many hours diving from his boat the Sandy D and metal detecting along the beach or while walking the riverbank. His hard work was rewarded with many amazing finds. Dick thoroughly enjoyed the history and relished the thrill of the discovery and spent his later years in his "Treasure Room" surrounded by his priceless discoveries.
