Obituary

Richard L Teague went to be with his savior Jesus Christ on August 5, 2026. He was 80 years old. Richard was born in Laurel, Mississippi on January 8, 1946, to his parents Alden R Teague and Venie Teague, both deceased.

Richard was a loving husband and best friend to his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Teague. He had many beloved family members and friends who will miss him. Richard loved to fish and travel. He often told fishing stories especially about his mother who on her first time using a rod and reel caught a 10-pound bass. Something he never did.

He had a degree in accounting from Florida State University and worked in that field in several agencies. He retired in 2008 as a corporate tax auditor with the Florida Department of Revenue.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Teague, his niece Jennifer Teague Kolbinger and his nephew Michael Teague.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian, Florida. Interment will take place at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, Florida.
