IN LOVING MEMORY OF

July 2, 1936 – December 5, 2025
Richard P. Walsh, formerly of Beverly, Ipswich, and Billerica MA, and most recently of Barefoot Bay, FL passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025 at age 89. He was born in Essex County, Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his wife Mary E. Walsh, his former wife Cynthia Walsh, and his brothers Dana Walsh and Robert Walsh.
He is survived by his children Richard Thomas (Stephanie) Walsh, Timothy Walsh(Sara Bruinooge), Cynthia(Gary) Chapman, Jonathan (Rebecca) Walsh and his step-children Paul Embry, Stephen Embry, and Ellen (Jimmy) Ricca. He
also leaves behind his grandchildren Cullen Walsh, Elizabeth Walsh and Jesse Walsh, Emily (Nick) Amodio, Kyle (Kayla) Chapman, Zack (Kristen) Chapman, and Ryan Chapman, Avery Walsh and Riley Walsh, Meaghan Embry, Christina Embry, Shaye(Jeremiah) McCarthy, along with five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He had a beautiful and happy life with his wife Mary. They enjoyed the Barefoot Bay community and spoke fondly of dancing together at the Barefoot Bay community center. He often spoke about special memories with his grandchildren. His grandchildren will remember his strange sense of humor often trying to sell them something for a dollar or asking for a quarter after beating them in miniature golf. They will also remember sleep overs with frozen yogurt for breakfast thinking they were having ice cream. HIs family have fond memories of going to Lynch Park in Beverly and spending the day together. We miss the Billerica home where the children played in the pool and grammy Mary made sure blankets covered the decks so the grandchildren didn't get splinters in their feet.
Donations can be made in Richard's name to the Bright Focus Foundation to provide research for Alzheimer's a very personal battle for the love of his life.
