IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Geoge
Browning
August 25, 1941 – September 28, 2019
Robert George Browning, 78, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away
at the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Care facility of Vero
Beach, Florida. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of
Charles Henry Browning III and Olga Soley.
At the tender age of 5, he was stricken with polio which left him
crippled from the waist down. His entire life, he relied on his
upper-body strength to over-
come his disability which enabled him to achieve an above
average life of
accomplishments. After high school, he was a graduate of the
Joseph Bulova School of Watchmaking and was a Watchmaker by
trade. While there, he became involved in wheelchair athletics,
where he excelled tremendously, which led to his competition in
National and International Wheelchair sports throughout the
globe in which he achieved numerous Gold, Silver and Bronze
Medals. He was also an avid member of Wheelchair Basketball in
which he participated in teams in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida
and Miami, Florida areas. His other interests included model craft
making, music, coin collecting and firing his numerous handguns
at the gun ranges which held competitions. He loved visits by
family members and enjoyed the company of his many friends
and especially his beloved animal friends. He was very well
mannered and always treated everyone with respect. He will be
dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife Susan of Sebastian, Florida, his sister
Julie Browning of Brooklyn, New York, his brother John James
Browning of El Cajon, California, his brother Leslie William Paul
and wife Cheryl Lynn Browning of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and
numerous nieces and nephews in California, Pennsylvania and
Florida. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death
by his sister Charlotte Alva Teresa D'Amato of El Cajon,
California, and his brother Michael Charles Browning, Sr., ofButler, Pennsylvania. At his own request, he was cremated at
Seawinds Funeral & Crematory, Sebastian, Florida.
No services were held. May he rest in eternal peace with Our
Lord, Jesus Christ
