Robert George Keel, 86 of Sebastian, FL, passed away February 4, 2013 at Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian, FL.
Mr. Keel was born November 22, 1926 in Toledo, OH.
He was a resident of Sebastian for the past 27 years having come from Casey Creek, KY.
Mr. Keel served in the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an Equipment Engineer in the Telecommunications Industry, by Ohio Bell Telephone Co.
He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Life member of Chatham VFW Post 6892, and American Legion.
Mr. Keel is survived by his son, Robert Lewis Keel, Crane, MO, brother, Richard "Dick" Keel, TX, sisters, Betty Benner, LA, and Donna Miller, TN.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Kathryn Keel, brothers, Eugene Keel, Donald Keel, sisters, Marge Miller and Dorothy Rupert.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian at 2pm.
