Robert F. Nix, 77, of Sebastian, FL, passed away at home Tuesday, October 7, 2014 with his family by his side while under the care of VNA Hospice.

He was born to the late Edward and Mary Nix on August 14, 1937 in Staten Island, NY.
Robert retired from the Division of Youth & Family Services State of New Jersey. He was a veteran of the Korean War, proudly serving in the United States Air Force.

He graduated from North Greenville Junior College, Tigerville, South Carolina. Robert was a member of the American Legion, Sebastian, FL and also a member of the Moose Lodge #1767 of Sebastian.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Barbara; his children Jill Cherry (Larry) Sebastian, Frank Kinelski (Angela) New Jersey and sons Robert and Howard of South Carolina; grandchildren Brian, Beau, Ricky and Frank; brother Thomas Nix of Staten Island NY; sister Gloria Amon of North Branch, NJ , and many nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am at United Methodist Church of Sebastian, 1029 Main Street on October 27, 2014 including a military honors ceremony.
