Robert Francis Nolan, Oct 1, 1942 – Nov 24, 2024

Robert F. Nolan, Jr died peacefully at 1:15pm on November 24, 2024 at his home in Sebastian, Florida, after a prolonged illness.

Robert was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 1, 1942. He was the eldest of three children, he lived with his parents the late Robert Francis Nolan and Helen Springer Nolan, in Valley Stream, New York. Raised in the Catholic faith, he attended Parochial schools, graduating from St. Francis College in1966, with a BS in Math.

Upon graduation from college, Robert worked for IBM as a self-taught programmer. Rapidly achieving his goals, he left IBM to join Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) where he was a Project Manager for 25 years. In 1993, he married Lois Davidson in Annapolis, MD.

Later in his career, he tried smaller technology firms before joining Ernst & Young as Principal in their consulting division. Robert retired in 2001; he and Lois moved to Davidsonville, Maryland, where they lived for 25 years before moving to Sebastian, Florida in 2019.

Robert's proudest achievements were his two sons from his first marriage and his 34 years of sobriety through the fellowship of AA. He is survived by Lois Nolan, his wife of 31 years; his sons, Robert Nolan III and Robert's wife Norma Yarbrough and Keith Nolan, his brother Brian Nolan and sister Denise Mayrer, and their families, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 South Fleming Street in Sebastian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm at St, Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US Highway 1, Sebastian. The interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
