Robert William Proudfoot, 87, of Barefoot Bay, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Lawnwood Medical Center in Fort Pierce.
He was born January 13, 1924 in Harrisburg, PA and was a resident of Barefoot Bay for 5 years coming from Boynton Beach, FL.
Mr. Proudfoot was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Sebastian United Methodist Church, the Church choir , and the Church Thrift shop. He also belonged to the Boynton Beach Radio Club.
Survivors include his daughters Louise Layland of Miramar, FL and Sue Shepper of Sebastian; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Alice Proudfoot.
Services: A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00AM, at the Sebastian United Methodist Church, 1029 Main St. Sebastian, with luncheon to follow at noon.
