Obituary

Robert F. Wilson (Bob) of Barefoot Bay, FL died January 1, 2018.  He was born in Springfield, MA on March 12, 1926.  Early in his life he lived in San Diego, CA and later he lived for many years in East Longmeadow, MA and surrounding towns.  In 1990 he moved with his wife to Whitingham, VT into a log home of his design and loving labor. In 2010 they moved permanently to Barefoot Bay, FL.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WW2.  After the war he graduated from North Park University in Chicago with an Associates degree in Engineering.  He then attended University of Massachusetts from which he graduated with a degree in Engineering.  He worked for Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies for 35 years.  He was Chief Engineer at the time of his retirement.

Bob was predeceased by his 3 sisters, Edith Green, Jeane Clay, and Betty Bradley and 1 son, Stephen Desmond. He leaves his wife Margaret (Margo) Wilson, 4 children: Nancy Lum (K.W.), Carol Lyman, Carol Nordstrom, Richard Wilson(Kim), 9 grandchildren: Michael Lyman, Patrick Desmond, Brian Lum (Stephanie), Alex Nordstrom, Rachel Desmond, Kevin Lum (Erin), Caitrin Mecher (Colby), Benjamin Wilson, Emily Wilson, 3 great-grandchildren, Makayla, Kayleigh, Jacob Lyman.

Bob's family brought him great happiness.  His greatest joy was knowing his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with whom he now rests.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Robert's life by gathering for a Memorial Service, at Community Baptist Church, 12534 Roseland Road, Sebastian, FL 32958, on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 am.
