Ronald Campbell, 76, of Sebastian FL passed November 19, 2013 peacefully in his sleep. Born March 12, 1937, in Kenosha Wisconsin he was the son of the late Melvin and Edythe Campbell.
He is a graduate of Waukegan High School and attended Bradley University. He raised his family in the Waukegan/Gurnee IL area. Ron had a career with Prudential Insurance. He also was a small business owner before he retired to Florida in 1986. He was very active in his community, including past president of Park Place Homeowners Association.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathryn (Katie) Campbell; 3 siblings, Allen Campbell, Shirley Booth, and Bruce Campbell; 4 children, Lora and Tom Blackowicz of Lindenhurst IL, Jon Campbell of Twin Lakes WI, David Campbell of Gurnee IL, and Sara Patrick of Port St. Lucie FL; five grandchildren Brian Blackowicz, Michael Blackowicz, Ryan Patrick, Samantha Cordt and Colleen Campbell; and 1 great grandchild. Most importantly, his family would not be complete without mentioning Jasper, his four-legged furry companion.
Memorial service will be held Saturday November 23, 2013 3pm at Park Place Club House in Sebastian Florida. Donations can be made in his name to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in lieu of flowers.
