Ronald A Krause, 92, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away on August 14, 2025 of natural causes.
Ron was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, on September 1, 1932, the son of the late Ernest R. Krause and Isabele Coburn Krause of Holyoke, Massachusetts. He was a member of the 1950 Holyoke High School State Championship Baseball Team.
Ron was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wasp. He retired from Smith & Wesson in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Ron was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach, Florida. He loved to travel, and he was an avid golfer, gym member, beer connoisseur, and enjoyed home brewing. He also enjoyed volunteering at the local hospital for many years. You could often spot him at Mulligan's, Squid Lips, or the local Irish Pub.
Ronald is survived by his children, Stephen and Judy Krause of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Wendy and Chris Reynolds of Granby, Massachusetts; and Jonathan and Michelle Krause of Charlotte, North Carolina. He had 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his Step Family, Robert and Barbara Crouss of Hudson, Massachusetts; William and Nancy Crouss of Ashland, Massachusetts; and Beth Bauer of Winter Garden, Florida, along with 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Ron was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Krause; first wife, Martha Anne Krause, and son David Allen Krause; brothers Ernest Krause, Robert Krause, and sister Joan Skelton.
A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held on Saturday, October 11th, from 10-12 pm at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, 1950 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church of Vero or the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be shared at www.seawindsfh.com
