Ronald "Ronnie" J. Murphy, 61 of Sebastian, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 23, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer.

Ron was born on April 1, 1956 to Kenneth & Betty Murphy in Elkhart, IN.  He moved to Florida in 1994 with his companion Michael Morrison.  Ron and Mike enjoyed camping, building campers, boating, spending time on and around the water, their cat "Bandit", and were avid New York Islanders fans.  Ron worked for Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach for over 20 years.  Ron was a friend to many, a loving brother, uncle, and was full of life.  He loved cracking jokes and always had a great sense of humor.

Ron is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Arthur (Rose) Scheiber of Union, MI, David Schieber of Middlebury, IN, Carolyn Kozelka of Sebastian, FL, Laura Poarch & Kathy Detwiler of Elkhart, IN.  Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his companion, and a step-brother, Kenneth Murphy.

Friends and family are asked to come and share you memories of Ron durning a candlelight memorial service at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Dale Wimbrow Park on Roseland Road in Sebastian.
