Ruth Y. Schaffhauser, 67, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away February 10, 2017. She was born on January 23, 1950 in Harrisburg, PA to Martin and Sarah Snyder. Ruth lived most of her life in Newport, PA and moved to Florida in 2000 because of health reasons. Ruth enjoyed cooking and had her own catering business Two Gals Catering.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Otto Schaffhauser; son, Robert Snyder; step-son, Marcus Schaffhauser; and her brother, Martin Snyder. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Joe and George Snyder.

A Gathering is scheduled for 10:30 am, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL, 32958 with a Memorial Service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 am.
