Salvatore V. Emanuel, Sr., 87, passed away February 7, 2017 at William Child's Hospice House in Palm Bay with his family at his side.

Salvatore was born January 11, 1930, in New York City, NY and had been a resident of Sebastian, FL. since 1992 moving here from Bridgeport, CT. Prior to retirement he was employed as a Brick Mason for Frouge & EF Construction and the Trumbull School System. Salvatore served his county during the Korean War in the U.S. Army 78th Anti Artillery. He was a member of the VFW of Sebastian, 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in Sebastian, Eucharistic Minister and Usher at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, and a member of Brick Layers Union # 2 of Bridgeport, CT.

Members of his family include, his wife of 62 years, Regina (Nielsen) Emanuel of Sebastian, FL; sons, Niel Emanuel and wife Susan, of Viera, FL, Thomas G. Emanuel, of WI, and Salvatore V. Emanuel, Jr. and wife Melissa, of Stratford, CT; grandchildren, Danielle, Thomas, Jr., Jeanna, Salvatore III, Anthony and Nicholas; and several great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Friday, February 10, 2017 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 U.S. HWY 1, Sebastian, FL 32958. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Health First Foundation c/o William Child's Hospice House, 1350 Hickory St, Melbourne, FL, 32901.
