Obituary

Shirley Ann Fisher of Sebastian Florida went home to be with the Lord after a brave battle with cancer. Although illness took her faster than anticipated, her loved ones are grateful she did not suffer longer. Shirley was born in Canton, Ohio on April 28, 1941 to the late Edwin and Eileen Turney. An animal lover, Shirley participated in Shi Tzu rescue and enjoyed grooming dogs for years, and even most recently, watched friends' dogs occasionally. She was a devoted and nurturing mother. When she laughed, she laughed hard and lit up a room. Shirley persevered through life's challenges, often making lemonade out of lemons. She desired for her tomorrows to be better than her yesterdays. Shirley is survived by a sister, Elizabeth (and Dan) Harris of Carrollton, Ohio; son Rick Turney of Canton Ohio; son Robert Sullivan of Michigan, son Douglas Fisher of Fort Pierce, Florida; and, son Donald (and April) Fisher of Saint Cloud, Florida. There are many grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be private ceremony for the immediate family. Shirley requested cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Help Now of Osceola, Inc., Florida, http://www.helpnowshelter.org.

Seawinds Funeral Home is honored to serve the Fisher family.
