Svea K. Smith, 95, a longtime resident of Sebastian, Florida passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, December 12, 2016.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Downs (Robert Downs) of Palm Bay, Florida, Barbara Jean Perry of Sebastian, Florida; son, Russell Smith (Joanie Smith) of Smithtown, New York; brother, Eric Karlson of Ft. Myers, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Teddy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Smith; her brother Arthur Karlson; and her parents Patrick and Hedwig Karlson of Beachwood, NJ.

Svea was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 24, 1921. She worked for Estee Lauder in New York for many years and served as a caretaker for others. She loved playing Bingo and enjoyed music and dancing. She will be dearly missed.

A Viewing will be held at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming St., Sebastian, FL 32958 on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm with a Funeral Service to follow in the chapel at 6:30 pm.
