Tom Brasher, 77 years old, passed away peacefully in his home in Vero Beach, FL., on December 6, 2015. His early life was spent in Lake Charles, LA. where he attended Lake Charles High School and McNeese State College before graduating from Northwestern State College with a degree in Economics and later earning an MBA from LSU. Tom and his wife Joan Lowrance Brasher lived in Shreveport and Baton Rouge, LA. before moving to Vero Beach, FL. in 1998 following his retirement from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. Tom also retired from the Army National Guard as a Command Sgt. Major. His children are Mary Catherine (deceased), Tom (aka Tommy) and Stephen. He is also survived by two grandchildren Victoria and Dillon, and his sister Elaine Gillespie. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian, FL., on January 30, 2016 from 10am - Noon. Memorial donations may be made to the National Cancer Society.
