Obituary

In Loving Memory of Thomas “Tommy” Streeter

Thomas “Tommy” Streeter, 58, of Fellsmere, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and boundless kindness.

Tommy was born on January 31, 1968, to Harry Streeter and Nancy Sutterfield, both of Adams County, Ohio. He was born in Winter Beach and raised in Fellsmere before eventually settling in Yeehaw Junction, Florida, where he enjoyed life surrounded by those he loved.

On March 24, 1989, Tommy married his beloved wife, Terah Murray. Together, they built a life filled with love and raised two daughters, Jennifer, born October 26, 1989, and Amy, born July 12, 1994. Their family grew to include two cherished grandsons, Hunter and Connor, who brought even more love and joy to his life. Tommy was a gifted mechanic whose passion for working with his hands was passed down by his father and shaped by the mentors in his life.

There was little he couldn’t fix, and he approached every challenge with determination and a willingness to help. Whether repairing a tractor or helping a friend work through a difficult problem, Tommy was always ready to lend a hand.

When he wasn’t working, Tommy found peace and happiness fishing by the water with his loyal dog, Buddy, by his side. He was known for his easy smile, his humor, and his gift for storytelling. Tommy never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like a friend. He was the ultimate go-to guy—the person people called when they needed help, no matter the problem. He would drop everything to get someone out of a jam, even when he had little time or money to spare. Helping others was simply who he was.

Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Nancy Streeter-Heppard and Harry Streeter.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 37 years, Terah; his daughters, Jennifer Streeter and Amy (Matthew) Wright; his brother, Harry Jr. (Vonnie) Streeter; his aunt, Kimmy (Barry) Revis; his stepfather, Dean Heppard; and his stepsister, Barbie (Darrick) Lewis, his two beloved grandsons, along with many other family members and dear friends whose lives he touched.

Tommy’s warmth, humor, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need made him a truly special person. His presence could light up a room, and his stories and laughter brought people together. The world is a little quieter without him, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the countless lives made better simply because Tommy was part of them.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held at his home, where family and friends will gather to remember, share stories, laugh, and honor the remarkable man he was.
