Timothy James (spaz) Raines passed away on Friday, May 16 at Manatee Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

He was the youngest of 5 children born to Jim and Laverne Raines. He is survived by his wife Sherry, daughter Sydney, mother Laverne, sisters Debbie, Vickie, and Brenda, brother Marc, and the newest family members, his twin grandsons, Orion and Grayson.

Tim was a drummer and a star gazer, as well as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and of the Honor Guard. He loved astronomy and learning Latin and Catholicism, but his biggest love in life besides his family was being an EMT/Paramedic/Chief Paramedic for over 25yrs.

He was a people person with a big heart, who made lifelong friends anywhere he went and will be missed dearly.

Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday, May 23, 2025 and is open to everyone at the Sebastian Cemetery.

May he rest in peace and shine on in the night sky amongst the stars.
