Wallace K. Love, 71, of Sebastian passed away at home on May 18, 2022 after a courageous fight with cancer with his loving family at his side.

Wally was a native and lifelong Floridian. Born in Miami, he attended school in Plantation followed by college in Ohio. He excelled at his varied careers as an insurance agent, a purchasing agent, a field sales agent and Park Ranger at Sebastian Inlet State Park.

He met his wife, Elissa in 1974 and they married in 1975 and raised 3 children, sharing with them his love of the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed camping and canoeing and his  beloved Okeechobee.  He especially cherished time with his 4 grandchildren.

Always the first one to lend a helping hand, he was a skilled handyman who never met a stranger. He was a proud and active member of AA for 32 years giving much of his time to pay it forward.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elissa Love of Sebastian, his children Stacey Horne and husband Bob of Sebastian, Eric Love and wife Stefanie of Okeechobee and Kevin Love and wife Kari of Margate and his 4 grandchildren Logan Meckes, Kyle Horne, Allie Love and Vivian Love.

A service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at Seawinds Funeral Home at 735 South Fleming Street, Sebastian FL 32958.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the National Wildlife Federation
