Walter T. Fletcher, 83, of Barefoot Bay, Fl., died on Saturday, March 12, 2016, with his family by his side.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances, of 63 years; their children, Bruce(Pat), Cindy Williamson, Mark(Christine); 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren that he loved dearly. Walter is also survived by his sister, Nanette Barringer and numerous nieces and nephews.

Walter was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Margaret Fletcher; brother, Miles; Son-In-Law Paul Williamson; and grandson, Scott.

He retired in Virginia from the Newport News Ship Building(Tenneco), in 1993 and returned to live in Florida in 2004. Walt was very active and involved with his family and friends, enjoyed traveling and his goal was always to have fun! He loved living in "Paradise", which he called their home in Florida. He was always the "go-to-guy" when anyone had projects and needed some help or advice. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

A family memorial service will be held in the future and in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
