Obituary

William J. Boscovich, 82 of Grant, Florida passed away surrounded by his family on March 24, 2017. He was born October 15, 1934 to Anthony and Ann (Descovich) Boscovich in Long Island City, New York. He graduated from New York School of Printing. He served in the United States Coast Guard for four years aboard the USCG FIREBUSH. He married his true love Joyce Martin in 1957 and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past February. He along with his wife and son moved to Grant, Florida in 1959. He was a commercial Crabber and then became founder and President of Blue Shore Seafood Company and Tony's Fish Market in Grant.

Bill was a member of the Loyal Order Of The Moose - Sebastian River Florida Lodge and The American Legion - Post 1089 Sebastian, FL. He was a former member of the Grant Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Organized Fisherman of Florida. In 1971 he was Chairman of the Grant Seafood Festival. He loved Fishing and was an avid fan of Florida State Football, New York Yankees, and Miami Dolphins.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his four sons, William J. Boscovich, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Grant, FL, Steven C Boscovich of Hickory, NC, Robert A. Boscovich of Deland, FL, and Anthony M. Boscovich (Angie) of Sebastian, FL; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joseph Boscove. A private service will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
