William Edward Poehnert, 90, Barefoot Bay, FL, passed away July 10, 2013 at Palm Bay Hospital in Palm Bay, FL.
Mr. Poehnert was born July 2, 1923 in Rockville, CT.
He was a resident of Barefoot Bay, FL, for 30 years coming from Vernon, CT.
Before retiring he worked as a supervisor for Northeast Utilities for 36 years.
He was a member of VFW 10210 Sebastian, FL.
He served his country in the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Audrey Poehnert, Barefoot Bay, FL., daughters, Donna Owen, TN, Pamela Poehnert, Barefoot Bay, FL., sons, Michael Poehnert, Stuart, FL., Jeffery Poehnert, West Hartford, CT., brother, Donald Poehnert, Port Orange, FL, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville FL, 32256.
