Wilma "Tiney" R. Hiers White

Wilma R. Hiers White, 84, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida. Wilma was born on February 14, 1942, in Moultrie, Georgia to Edna Ruth Dell-Hiers and John Buford Hiers. She later made Sebastian her home, where she graduated from Vero Beach High School and built a life centered around her family, faith, and community.

Affectionately known as Tiney, she was a dedicated, strong, and diligent woman who took great pride in her work throughout her entire life. She owned and operated a cleaning business for many years and afterward worked with her brothers until retirement.

Tiney was an active and devoted member of Sebastian River Baptist Church. Her faith was an important part of her life. Tiney will be remembered for her warm spirit, her caring heart, and love for those around her. Many cherished memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her loving daughter Kimberly Dell White Waltermire in 2021, her parents, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by her son in law, Bobby Waltermire, her grandson, Mitchell Waltermire and 3 sisters-in-law, Barbara Hiers, Judy Hiers and Norie Hiers. She will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm followed by a Graveside Service at Sebastian City Cemetery.
